My latest fave free iPhone app? It’s What the Font – created by myfonts.com (a font reseller) a sweet little app that allows you to take a photo of a typeface that you’ve found in the real world and have it be identified on via your phone.

Take a pic of the font with your phone.
Let the app do it’s job, and it’ll sort through the MyFonts’ font identification service, which has been identifying fonts for 10 years via the web.

And bammo – find the closest match to what you’re looking for. Cool tool for designers, developers, and just the font curious.
Did mention it was free? What a slick way to draw people to your site – provide them a useful tool! Can’t wait to try this out at my next geek party!
