There’s way too many games on my iPhone for ne to list all in one post, so I’ll split them up by category. First up: time management games.
I uses to play this genre of games on my pc, but find that they lend themselves very well to the iPhone platform. Love just touching the screen versus clicking! These games force you to prioritize – who you serve first, what you upgrade first, it matters.
First up, my fave from pre-iPhone days: Diner Dash – $4.99
Such a classic, I’ve played this game in many marathon sessions and although I haven’t played it recently, I keep it on my iPhone just on case I get bored. A very cute game. If you can’t guess by the name of the game, you’re a waitress in a diner and need to serve your customers before they get angry at you and dine and dash. You move up in the game by earning better stuff for your diner and then, later on, better diners as you level up.

Kitchen Nightmares – .99
Another waitress game, bur the level of difficulty is increased from Diner Dash as you actually have to cook the food. And when you do poorly, Gordon yells at you, just like on the show. Great graphics on this game, I have to get over my fear of disappointing Ramsey to play this. Differences from Diner Dash? Well, for one, as you play through the game you get to unlock recipes from Chef Ramsey himself. Also, there’ two rooms of play – you seat your customers and then run to the kitchen to actually prepare the dish yourself, something that’s nowhere in the game play of other games of this kind. It also makes it much harder, and, more likely to make me cuss while playing it.

Chocolate Shop Frenzy – .99
Similar to diner dash, Chocolate Shop Mania has you manning the counter and filling delicious candy orders as fast as you can without pissing off your customers too much. I’ve just finished the full life cycle of the storyline play, my only complaint is that it was a little too easy.

Sally Spa – 2.99
Last but not least, I can’t cover this category without mentioning Sally Spa. A favorite of many, I’m much more a Diner Dash girl but many, many people love this game. Your character buys a spa nd negotiates customers from the sauna to the facial chair, the massage table to the cash register without keeping anyone waiting too long. I am having fun with it and it is totally worth the 2.99 it costs on sale right now.

You can take the girl out of silicon valley, but you can't take the silicon valley out of the girl. Born in Chicago, but raised in San Jose, Leslie began programming in basic at age six and she hasn't stopped yet.
