GymFu, that’s what! While cruising one of my fave blogs today, FitBottomedGirls, I came across a new and really cool looking series of fitness applications under the brand GymFu. Like the Nike hardware/software tracking devices, you strap your iPhone to your arm and the different applications that GymFu makes track how well, how fast, and how many you do of specific exercises. You can even have GymFu’s apps tweet your results for you. My husband is a personal trainer, and I’ve got probably twenty different fitness apps on my iPhone right now just for him to play with (at one point, I’ll get a review together of what he thinks are the most effective, as I’m trying to move from couch potato to fit person I’m probably not the best to judge) but this group of apps is the most creative I’ve seen.
There’s several apps:
PushupFu:![]()

SquatFu:![]()
screenshot of where you track your progress over time, seeing progress in a chart like this can be very motivating.
PullupFu:![]()

CrunchFu:![]()

SquatFu is the only one with a free trial version. Why not give it a shot? Search for GymFu in the app store, they’re all $2.99 each. You can also check out their training video on the home page of their site and their blog for further info.
